The Southern Highlands GP After Hours Service (SHGPAHS) was established in 2001 through a collaboration of local GP's united to deliver after hours care to all residents & visitors within the Southern Highlands. We proudly continue this tradition, with local practices & their GP’s working together to care for our local community.

This service offers GP consultations for minor illnesses & injuries when your regular GP is unavailable.

After Hours GP Clinic - 1800 161 298 
The GP After Hours Clinic is located at 21 St Jude St Bowral, and is open

Saturday afternoons from 3.00pm to 5.00pm

Sundays and Public Holidays, from 9.00am to 12pm and again in the afternoon from 3.00pm until 5.00pm

The Southern Highlands GP After Hours Clinic is a walk-in clinic.

The clinic does not take appointments, patients are seen in the order they arrive, urgent cases will be triaged accordingly after assessment. We guarantee all patients who arrive within the opening times of the clinic will be seen by the GP.

After Hours Call Service - 4861 6433 
The After Hours Call Service operates 365 days a year, 
Monday to Friday, from 5.30pm to 8.00am the following morning 
Saturdays from 12.00pm until 8.00am Sunday morning.

Sundays from 8.00am until 8.00am Monday morning and

Public Holidays from 8.00am to 8.00am the following morning. 

Calls are answered by a professional call service provider who obtains your details and passes on the information to the local on call GP. The local on call GP will then return your call to provide phone triage & advice.

Depending on your illness or injury the on-call GP may

• Advise you to attend the after-hours clinic, located at 21 St Jude St Bowral
• Provide self-care information &/or advise you to attend your usual GP in regular business hours 
• Advise you to attend the Bowral Hospital Emergency Department.
• Advise you to call 000 for an ambulance

Aged Care Facility visits may be available if clinically indicated & safe for the GP to do so.

Our collaborating surgeries work together on a roster-based system to provide the GP’s to staff our Clinic & Call service. If you call the After-hours service or visit the clinic, you’re guaranteed to be looked after by an established local GP from one of our local collaborating practices below.
