Division of General Practice
Southern Highlands
Division of General Practice
In 2012, the Commonwealth ceased funding Divisions of General Practice and directed funding to Medicare Locals, now known as Primary Health Networks (PHNs)
In 2014 the Southern Highlands Division of General Practice ceased trading, until 2018 when the decision was made to re-establish.
The role of the current Division is to resolve all overdue regulatory requirements, re-establish charity status & act as custodian of member funds. At the 2019 AGM members were asked to decide how to best utilise these funds to represent the interests of local General Practitioners & the overall objectives of the Division.
